Pacific Northwest Trio

Seattle, Victoria & Vancouver

August 7-12, 2017

Mon / Sat - 6 Days

Home to some of the most beautiful scenery in North America, the Pacific Northwest offers wild, rocky shores, spectacular mountains and lush forests. Spend time in trendy Seattle before transferring by ferries to British Columbia to visit Victoria and Vancouver.

Seattle’s waterfront offers a delightful collection of shops and restaurants surrounded the natural beauty of Puget Sound. While here, choose from one of two included experiences: visit majestic Mount Rainier or immerse yourself in Northwest history, culture and flavor on an excursion to Tillicum Village on Blake Island. Take the high-speed passenger ferry to the inner harbor in Victoria, BC. Tour the island and visit Butchart Gardens, where over a century ago, Jennie Butchart began building what is now one of the world’s premier floral show gardens.

Get to know Vancouver, from the totems in Stanley Park to the colorful downtown neighborhoods such as Gastown, Yaletown and Granville Island.

Cultural diversity, floral wonderlands, fast ferries and pristine views – this tour promises to complete your summer in the most amazing way!

Itinerary Hotels

Mon, Aug 7: Seattle, Washington. Fly to Seattle and enjoy a narrated city tour en route to your downtown Seattle hotel, driving by Pike Place Market, Pioneer Village and the Space Needle. You’ll find places to sit and take in the view, enjoy dinner and watch the ferries travel across Elliott Bay. Pop into fun souvenir and novelty shops, art galleries or visit the Seattle Aquarium all in walking distance from the hotel. After hotel check-in, the balance of the day is yours to enjoy!

Tue, Aug 8: Mount Rainier or Tillicum Village. Today choose your included excursion: a Mount Rainier Day trip or an afternoon at Tillicum Village on Blake Island. Breathtaking vistas of glacier-carved Mount Rainier beckon, an active volcano and an icon in the Washington landscape. Waterfalls and alpine meadows await you on this day trip. Travel to Mount Rainier National Park through Pacific Northwest scenery with narration from an experienced guide. You will have time at the national park to experience old-growth forests, wildflower-filled meadows and waterfalls as well as visit one of the interpretive centers to learn more about the mountain. There are options on the tour for all abilities from hiking to short walks to no walking at all. OR escape modern life on a ferry to Blake Island and watch history come alive as you visit Tillicum Village to walk in the footsteps of Chief Seattle. This adventure includes a Northwest flavors-inspired buffet meal featuring traditionally-prepared alder fire roasted fish, Northwest Native American storytelling, a live stage performance, and hand-crafted art – all inside a cedar longhouse surrounded by lush forest.

Wed, Aug 9: Seattle & Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Explore more of Seattle on your own before taking an afternoon ferry to Victoria. Stay at the DoubleTree Victoria near the inner harbor, where steps from your door are local boutiques and restaurants. In the summer months, street vendors and performers line the popular waterfront.

Thu, Aug 10: Victoria & Vancouver. Tour Victoria and walk through Butchart Gardens, one of the world’s premier floral gardens, built in a limestone quarry, that drew more than 50,000 people in the 1920s. Today, almost a million people visit annually. Afterward, ferry to Vancouver. Arrive in the late afternoon, check into the Pinnacle Hotel and have dinner on your own.

Fri, Aug 11: Vancouver. Visit Stanley Park to view the totem poles on a city tour that also includes Yaletown, Chinatown, Gastown, Canada Place and Granville Island. The balance of the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Gather in the evening for a Farewell Dinner at the hotel. (Meal: Dinner)

Sat, Aug 12: Transfer to the airport in Vancouver and depart for home.
