Legendary figures of the American Revolution come alive at buildings and attractions along Boston’s Freedom Trail, including the Paul Revere House and Old South Meeting House, and in Lexington and Concord just outside Boston.
Tue, Oct 3: Bar Harbor, Maine. Bar Harbor is located on Mount Desert Island just off the Maine coast, and is the gateway to Acadia National Park. From the top of Cadillac Mountain see spectacular vistas of granite cliffs and towering coastal mountains. Bar Harbor is bejeweled with grand mansions and immaculate gardens. Enjoy walking the streets of town or take a guided tour.
Wed, Oct 4: Halifax, Nova Scotia. Halifax is the provincial capital of Nova Scotia (“New Scotland”) and sits on the world’s second largest natural harbor. Numerous ocean and lake beaches dot the area around Halifax, as do small fishing communities. One of these is a popular tourist attraction: Peggy’s Cove, known for its classic red-and-white lighthouse built on an extensive granite outcrop at Peggy’s Point.
Thu, Oct 5: Sydney, Nova Scotia. Enjoy the fall colors around Sydney on an optional Cape Breton Island tour. Travel along the Cabot Trail, a scenic roadway on the northern part of the island as it passes through Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Fri, Oct 6: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Stroll through the city to see colorful heritage homes and beautiful lawns and gardens. Prince Edward Island claims miles of beautiful beaches and the island is known as the birthplace of L.M. Montgomery, the author of the “Anne of Green Gables” books.

Sun, Oct 8: Saguenay, Quebec & Scenic Cruising Saguenay Fjord. At the tip of a majestic fjord, where the waters of the Saguenay and the St Lawrence Rivers meet, you will find the charming village of Saguenay. There is access nearby to Saguenay National Park where you can hike, kayak or take a boat excursion to see the beauty of the fjord from the sea. Huge cliffs, shaped by glaciers, rise more than 1,150 feet above sea level and plunge 900 feet below the waterline. In the evening enjoy cruising the scenic fjord.
Mon, Oct 9: Québec City, Québec. Québec City is over 400 years old and was the first permanent European-built city in North America that was not founded by Spain. The city has a distinct European feel and most residents are native French speakers. The Québec City Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s a walled city with cobblestone streets that still has its original fortifications still intact, and is home to churches and hospitals that date back to the 17th century.
