This memorable cruise departs from Seward (approximately three hours south of Anchorage) and highlights the glacial beauty and national parks of southeastern Alaska. After seven days along Alaska’s coastlines arrive in Vancouver for your flight home or add a couple of days to enjoy British Columbia or combine your cruise with an inland exploration to Denali National Park.

Sat, June 30: Fly to Anchorage, Alaska and overnight in a downtown hotel.

Sun, July 1: Join fellow travelers for a Welcome Breakfast. Travel the scenic Seward Highway along the Turnagain Arm to board Holland America’s ms Westerdam and embark on your journey! (Meals: Breakfast, Dinner)

Mon, July 2: At sea. Relax and enjoy the amenities and activities on board the ship as you meander through Alaskan waters. Watch for dolphins and whale pods, relax at the covered pool, unwind with a spa treatment, or see a live show – the day is yours to get to know the ms Westerdam. (B,L,D)

Tue, July 3: Scenic cruising in Glacier Bay National Park. Cruise the waters surrounded by jagged snow-covered mountain peaks. The ship stops in front of the magnificent glaciers, and there is plenty of time to watch and listen to the glaciers calving. (B,L,D)

Wed, July 4: Experience the activities in and around rustic Haines, including rafting, hiking, fishing or sightseeing, or opt to explore the nearby historic Gold Rush town of Skagway.* A not-to-be-missed highlight in Skagway is the White Pass & Yukon narrow-gauge railway.* A catamaran transfer is required in order to get from Haines to Skagway.* (B,L,D)

Thu, July 5: Cruise to Juneau, the capital of Alaska, accessible by air or water only. With its bounty of water, forests, mountains and glaciers, Juneau offers a variety of optional activities. *A few favorite excursions here include the Taku Glacier Lodge Flight & Feast (flight via sea plane), Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefields, whale watching, rafting, fishing, dog sledding and hiking. Fri, July 6: Arrive in Ketchikan, located in the heart of the Tongass National Forest. *Some optional activities include a flightseeing trip to the Misty Fjords National Monument, an excursion on the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman’s adventure, or a sightseeing trip to explore Totem Bight State Park or Saxman Village to see the world’s largest collection of totem poles. Sat, July 7: Enjoy a day at sea, cruising the Inside Passage. (B,L,D)

Sun, July 8: Arrive in Vancouver, British Columbia, disembark after breakfast and transfer to the Vancouver or Seattle airport for return flights to Indianapolis. (B)

Sun, July 8: After disembarking the ship, check into your deluxe downtown hotel and explore beautiful Vancouver on your own.

Tue, Jul 10: Transfer to Vancouver’s airport for your return flight to Indianapolis.
