Wed, June 6: Depart Indianapolis for Branson. Stop for dinner at Lambert’s, the home of the “throwed rolls” on the way into town. Check in to the Hotel Grand Victorian, then tonight step out on the town for an evening show, Pierce Arrow. Listen to a broad variety of music sung by this dynamic quartet mixed with sidesplitting antics from resident comedian, James Sibley. (D)
Thu, June 7: Relax and have a leisurely morning at the hotel before departing for Table Rock Lake to board the Showboat Branson Belle. The Showboat brings the spirit of the 1890’s paddlewheelers to life, as it cruises across the lake, entertaining you with a high-energy variety show and scrumptious lunch! Next, transfer to the Top of the Rock Ozarks Heritage Preserve to visit Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum, which features artifacts, images and exhibits that walk you through this area’s past. Then hop aboard an electric cart for an exhilarating self-driven nature trail journey along the Top of the Rock Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail. Drive through covered Amish bridges and marvel at dramatic natural rock formations and stunning waterfalls. Following the tour, head to Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater. Upon arrival, stop first on the lower level to visit the Celebrity Car Museum with over 100 cars including the 1966 Batmobile, the A-Team van and many other classics from movies and television. Enjoy dinner in the VIP room and then cap off the day with a nostalgic performance of The Legends in Concert. Internationally recognized as The World’s Greatest Live Tribute Show, these performers use authentic costumes and their own natural voices to capture the very essence of the stars they emulate. See Elvis, The Blues Brothers, Celine Dion, Brooks & Dunn and many more! (B,L,D)
Fri, June 8: Today, see the Doug Gabriel Show and have some free time for shopping and lunch in historic downtown Branson and Branson Landing. The historic downtown offers plenty of antique shops, ice cream parlors and the old five and dime; then just across the street are the modern shops of Branson Landing, overlooking Lake Taneycomo and home to Bass Pro Shop. Later this afternoon, take a tour of the beautiful College of the Ozarks. One of the student guides will proudly lead you around the campus, stopping at the chapel, Edwards Mill and the fruit cake and jelly kitchen. End your tour at the Keeter Center, where the Executive Chef and culinary students will tantalize your taste buds with a wonderful three-course dinner! Afterward, experience the Bible story of Samson in jaw-dropping scale at the Sight & Sound Theatre. Prepare to be astounded by the amazingly talented cast, special effects, live animals and elaborate sets – on stage and in the aisles. It’s an unforgettable, uplifting thrill ride that will bring down the house – literally! Following the show, return to the hotel. (B,D)
