Chihuly at the Biltmore Estate

Gardens & Glass

May 23-26, 2018

Wed / Sat - 4 Days

See the vibrant colors and large-scale glass sculptures that distinguish Dale Chihuly’s creations set amongst the breathtaking gardens of the Biltmore Estate. For just a few months, this special exhibit offers a unique opportunity to experience the artist’s work set within gardens designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of American landscape architecture. The exhibition will feature Chihuly’s works throughout the historic estate, including the Winter Garden of the Biltmore House, the Italian Garden and Walled Garden. And for an even more exclusive experience the trip coincides with Chihuly Nights at Biltmore where on select evenings the stunning works of art are illuminated against a night sky.

Built between 1889 and 1895 by George Washington Vanderbilt II, the Biltmore Estate is a 250-room French chateau and is America’s largest private home. Spend two nights at the Inn right on the estate grounds, followed by one night in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Resort featuring nine acres of indoor gardens and waterways. A visit to a southern plantation, exploration of the distinct gardens of Cheekwood and a demonstration at a glass blowing studio complete this delightful tour of gardens and glass.
