Art & Culture in the Midwest

September 23-25, 2018

Sun / Tue - 3 Days

Come and see what Grand Rapids has to offer! There is no better time to visit than during the ArtPrize event, which showcases the city’s rich culture of art and expression. ArtPrize is an open, independently organized international art competition which takes place for 19 days each fall. During the event, art is exhibited throughout downtown Grand Rapids—museums, bars, public parks, restaurants, theaters, hotels, bridges, laundromats, auto body shops, vacant storefronts and office spaces...everywhere! ArtPrize is recognized as the most-attended public art event on the planet according to the Art Newspaper. Come join the fun, as more than five hundred thousand dollars in prizes are awarded each year – partially based on public votes.

You’ll not only see the exhibits, but you’ll also see what gives this city its artistic reputation year-round. From the Grand Rapids Art Museum to the Frederick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, spend time enjoying the inspiration all around you.
