Wed, Mar 13: Arrive in Sydney. Check in to your hotel for the night.

Thu, Mar 14: A sightseeing tour of Sydney includes the Sydney Opera House, Watson’s Bay and Bondi Beach. Enjoy a seafood lunch cruise at Circular Quay. (B,L,D)

Fri, Mar 15: Observe koalas, wombats, kookaburras, parrots and kangaroos at Featherdale Wildlife Park. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B)

Sat, Mar 16: Fly to Cairns and check in to your hotel for three nights. (B)

Sun, Mar 17: Spend a full day on the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkel, scuba dive or see the reef from a semi-submersible or glass-bottom boat. (B,L)

Mon, Mar 18: Travel on the Kuranda Scenic Railway through the rainforest to Kuranda, where you’ll have time to explore the village. Board the Skyrail for a 90-minute ride spanning the ancient tropical rainforest. Immerse yourself in the Aboriginal culture at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. (B,D)

Tue, Mar 19: Depart by air for Uluru (Ayers Rock). Create your own Maruku dot painting with an aboriginal artist. Travel through the desert to The Olgas. Enjoy a glass of wine while viewing the Uluru sunset. (B)

Wed, Mar 20: Rise early to watch the sunrise at Uluru. Tour Mutitjulu waterhole and view Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about Aboriginal history. Experience a second sunset over Uluru as you enjoy a Sounds of Silence Dinner in the desert with a stargazer guide. (B,D)

Thu, Mar 21: Depart by air for Melbourne. The day is yours to explore. (B)

Fri, Mar 22: Enjoy a tour of Melbourne. Stop at Cooks’ Cottage. Built in 1755, it was moved from England to Melbourne in 1934. Dinner is a five-course meal with a sightseeing tour on the 1948 Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. (B,D)

Sat, Mar 23: Fly to Queenstown, New Zealand and check in to your hotel on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

Sun, Mar 24: Enjoy a Queenstown highlights tour. Ride on the Skyline Gondola and travel to the top to Bob’s Peak for breathtaking views. Have your choice of an included excursion: a tour by 4WD vehicles to visit the film location for the Ford of Bruinen in The Lord of the Rings movies or the thrilling Shotover Jet Boat Ride. Cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station. Enjoy dinner and wine at the Colonel’s Homestead at Walter Peak High Country Farm. (B,D)

Mon, Mar 25: Visit Fiordland National Park and journey the full length of Milford Sound on a scenic cruise out to the Tasman Sea. (B,L,D)

Tue, Mar 26: Fly to New Zealand’s North Island and arrive in Rotorua, a thermal region with geysers and sulphurous lakes. A Maori guide will escort you to the Maori Pa village site and institute at the Te Puia and the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve & Maori Arts & Crafts Centre. Experience a traditional Powhir (welcome) and Wero (challenge). Enjoy a Maori performance and an authentic Maori hangi dinner. (B,D)

Wed, Mar 27: Visit Rainbow Springs and discover New Zealand’s unique flora and fauna along with the Kiwi Encounter to view the country’s national icon, the flightless kiwi bird. Visit the underground Waitomo Caves and take a boat trip through the Glowworm Grotto—the roof sparkles with the lights of glowworm larvae that reflect off the water. Lunch is a New Zealand-style barbecue. Drive to Auckland, the world’s biggest Polynesian city, with a lively food, arts and culture scene. (B,L)

Thu, Mar 28: Discover Auckland on a sightseeing tour that includes a visit to admire the views of the Sky Tower, the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand. Tour the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
