Wed, Jan 23: Fly to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and transfer to Banff by motorcoach. Check in to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel located in the heart of Banff National Park. This world famous hotel stands as a landmark in a picturesque alpine setting and is Canada's "Castle in the Rockies." The charming town of Banff with its local galleries and museums, upscale shopping, and restaurants is just a short stroll away. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Thu, Jan 24: A half-day tour this morning includes many local delights including Bow Falls, Hoodoo Lookout, Lake Minnewanka and Surprise Corner. Visit the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, where the development of Canada’s national parks is celebrated in interactive displays and exhibits. See the naturally occurring, warm mineral springs inside the cave and the emerald colored basin. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to discover more of Banff on your own. Perhaps you will choose to take a historic tour of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel or visit the Banff Upper Hot Springs to relax against a backdrop of spectacular scenery while enjoying the soothing natural hot springs that made Banff famous. Fri, Jan 25: Today you transfer to another renowned property, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for a two night stay. Originally built as a base for outdoor enthusiasts and alpinists over 100 years ago, the iconic hotel is known as the "Jewel of the Canadian Rockies." Along the way see some famous features in the Canadian Rockies and stop to admire the views from the top of the Lake Louise Gondola and enjoy a buffet lunch. Check in to your lake side room at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, where your view overlooks Victoria Glacier and the lake surrounded by mountains. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Sat, Jan 26: Take a horse-drawn sleigh ride along the lakeside trail beneath Victoria Glacier, absorbing the beauty of the sparkling snow and blue sky. Admire the views of the Ice Falls at the end of the lake and of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in the distance. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy the many amenities of the hotel from snowshoeing and ice skating to snowmobiling and dog sledding (fees may apply). (B)
