Tue, Feb 5: Fly to Palm Springs, California. Today is about art and scenery. From a desert museum to now an art museum and cultural hub, the Palm Springs Art Museum welcomes you to appreciate not only the large outdoor sculpture gardens, but its 150,000 square feet of galleries showcasing works from Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein, Ansel Adams, Alexander Calder, and Henry Moore just to name a few. For your perusal, this sophisticated collection of art offers you photography, sculpture, architecture and design, glass, Native American and Western Art, and modern and contemporary art. Next, take a break while riding the Aerial Tramway over 2 ½ miles along the majestic cliffs of Chino Canyon. Rotating slowly, this ten-minute tram ride to Mount San Jacinto State Park allows you to grasp a complete view of the spectacular valley below, granite peaks, and rugged wilderness. At 8,516 feet, you reach the Mountain Station where you’ll find a museum, theaters, a gift shop, hiking trails, and observation decks to explore. Dinner here affords you delicious food and spectacular views of the Coachella Valley. Check in to the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel. (Meal: Dinner)
