Book by November 1 & Save $100

Tue / Fri - 4 Days

Postcard picture perfect, the scenery of Palm Springs, California is a beautiful backdrop for your adventures. Cradled by the Little San Bernardino Mountains to the north, the Santa Rosa Mountains on the south, and the San Jacinto Mountains to the west, this desert city enjoys more than 350 days of sunshine with less than 5 inches of rain a year. It’s also the ancestral home of the Agua Caliente band of Cahuilla people, and an optional jeep tour will take you to see where they lived and thrived.

Not only can you find adventure and mountain scenery, but a little stardust, too. Once home to Hollywood stars like Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, and the Rat Pack, you can see the mix of elegance and laid back feeling Palm Springs exudes as you enjoy the palm tree-lined streets, boutiques, art galleries and museums, stylish hotels, and culinary delights.

Itinerary Hotel

Tue, Feb 5: Fly to Palm Springs, California. Today is about art and scenery. From a desert museum to now an art museum and cultural hub, the Palm Springs Art Museum welcomes you to appreciate not only the large outdoor sculpture gardens, but its 150,000 square feet of galleries showcasing works from Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein, Ansel Adams, Alexander Calder, and Henry Moore just to name a few. For your perusal, this sophisticated collection of art offers you photography, sculpture, architecture and design, glass, Native American and Western Art, and modern and contemporary art. Next, take a break while riding the Aerial Tramway over 2 ½ miles along the majestic cliffs of Chino Canyon. Rotating slowly, this ten-minute tram ride to Mount San Jacinto State Park allows you to grasp a complete view of the spectacular valley below, granite peaks, and rugged wilderness. At 8,516 feet, you reach the Mountain Station where you’ll find a museum, theaters, a gift shop, hiking trails, and observation decks to explore. Dinner here affords you delicious food and spectacular views of the Coachella Valley. Check in to the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel. (Meal: Dinner)

Wed, Feb 6: Today is your day to jump on the free trolley and sightsee, take in a game of golf, pamper yourself at the spa, or just relax at the pool. (B)

Thu, Feb 7: Need more time to relax? Go ahead. Today is full of free time or an optional jeep tour to see the San Andreas Fault. Your naturalist jeep guide informs you about the plants, animals, geology, and history of the California desert while heading to the fault area. Hopping out of the jeep, you’ll walk between the deep canyon walls created by the powerful force of nature, see a natural oasis, and learn about the lives and how the Cahuilla people used the desert and all it offered to live. Top the night off with dinner at the hotel and attend the VillageFest Street Party featuring arts, crafts, food, and entertainment. (B,D)

Fri, Feb 8: Transfer to the Palm Springs Airport, and return home. (B)
