Thu, Mar 28: Fly to Honolulu, Oahu. Transfer to your hotel and spend two nights near Waikiki Beach.
Fri, Mar 29: Take an included tour of Pearl Harbor and the exhibits at the USS Arizona Memorial. Afterward, head downtown for a narrated tour of Honolulu’s highlights, including Punchbowl National Cemetery and Iolani Palace. The remainder of the afternoon and evening are at your leisure.
Sat, Mar 30: Board Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America in Honolulu and slip into a relaxed frame of mind, knowing you won’t have to unpack to island-hop for the rest of the trip. Catch the patriotic vibe on board a celebration of all things American, right down to the décor! At the ship’s Liberty Restaurant, you’ll be greeted by statues of George Washington and Abe Lincoln, stars-and-ribbons carpeting, soaring-eagle-motif glass ceiling and bunting-style curtains! Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with the ship, then dine “as you wish.”
Sun, Mar 31: Kahului, Maui. Considered the most magical and romantic of the islands, Maui is full of lush mountains and rainforests that complement the tropical beaches. Many people choose to see the island’s diverse beauty on a helicopter ride, spying hidden waterfalls in the jungle. Staying overnight in port affords the opportunity to rise before dawn for the ritual sunrise journey to the top of Mount Haleakala. Or sleep in and spend the next day on the beach, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling or hiking. Optional shore excursions include: Tropical Plantation & Iao Valley, Road to Heavenly Hana, Haleakala Crater at Sunset, Whale Watch Cruise, Lahaina Segway Tour.
Mon, Apr 1: Maui. Spend another day ashore exploring more of the magical charms of Maui. Optional shore excursions include: Haleakala Crater at Sunrise, Maui Beach Day, Lanai Wildside Raft Snorkel, Rappel Waterfalls.
Tue, Apr 2: Hilo, Hawaii (the “Big Island”)**. On the island of Hawaii, many visitors head for Volcanoes National Park, a surreal landscape of lava tubes, fire pits, and an active volcano! You can even take a 45-minute helicopter ride over the smoking Mount Kilauea. Optional shore excursions include: Volcanoes National Park, Circle of Fire by Helicopter; Zipline through Paradise, Journey to Mauna Kea.
Wed, Apr 3: Kona, Hawaii. The Kona District on the Big Island is the gateway to the sunny western coast, where you may take a drive through rolling green pastures, visit sacred sites, or snorkel in a protected marine preserve. Kona is also home to several coffee plantations, Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, and Kealakekua Bay, where Captain James Cook first set foot on the island in 1778. Optional shore excursions include: Kona Mocha Coffee Country, Captain Zodiac Snorkel & Dolphin Adventure, Gold Coast & Cloud Forest, Magical Seahorse Discovery, Parasailing in Paradise.
Thu, Apr 4: Nawiliwili, Kauai. The tropical paradise of the island of Kauai is ruggedly beautiful and remote (enough that it made an ideal setting for Jurassic Park). Swim underneath a waterfall, visit Fern Grotto and take in the splendor of Waimea Canyon, a sight you have to see to believe. The same can be said for the Na Pali coast — board a smaller boat to sail the coastline edged with 4,000-foot-tall cliffs. Optional shore excursions include: Luau Kalamaku & Plantation Train, Journey to Waimea Canyon, Wailua River & Fern Grotto, Na Pali Explorer.
Fri, Apr 5: Kauai. Enjoy a second day to discover more of this lush tropical island. Optional shore excursions include: Kauai on Horseback, Jewels of Hawaii – Waterfalls & Tropical Gardens, Poipu Surfing Lessons, Mokihana Helcopter.
Sat, Apr 6: Oahu. Disembark in Honolulu and transfer to the airport for your overnight flight home.
Sun, Apr 7: Arrive home in the morning.
