Whether you’re already a fan or new to Harry Potter, this production will leave you completely spellbound. Rolling Stone calls it, “The stuff of legend. It will inspire wonder in theatergoers and Potterheads alike.” And Entertainment Weekly declares, “It redefines the possibilities of theatre. Broadway will never be the same.” Don’t miss this deeply human story that reveals how friendship and family can ultimately bring us together to conquer our greatest fears and foes.

Tue, July 2: Fly to New York City, where a local guide will narrate your drive through Manhattan. In Lower Manhattan, have time for lunch on your own before a visit the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Continue to the Marriott Marquis for check in. The balance of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish.

Wed, July 3: Enjoy a morning at leisure. This afternoon, walk to the nearby Lyric Theatre to see part one of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It was always difficult being Harry Potter, and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places. After part one, dinner is served family style at Carmine’s, serving up delicious Italian fare for all to devour. Head back to the theatre this evening for part two of the play. After a stunning performance, return to the hotel. (Meals: Dinner)

Thu, July 4: The bulk of the day is yours to explore. This evening, dinner is included on a harbor cruise around Manhattan! Passing “Lady Liberty” will ignite your patriotic spirit before witnessing a kaleidoscope of pyrotechnics in the night sky, celebrating our freedom and appreciation for those who have sacrificed to protect it. Return to the hotel following the cruise. (D)

Fri, July 5: Stop at Central Park for a summer stroll to learn about the history of the park’s restoration, preservation, and the important landmarks you’ll encounter. After the tour, picnic blankets will be set up for a delightful lunch in the park. Then, head over to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, also known as “The Met” for a Harry Potter inspired tour that will fine tune your wizarding skills and open your awareness to the art that surrounds you. Have some free time in the museum before heading to the airport to fly home. (L)
