Fri, Jan 17: Depart Indianapolis for Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Check in to your hotel for one night.

Sat, Jan 18: Board Holland America Line’s ms Zuiderdam ,and set sail early evening.

Sun, Jan 19: Enjoy a day at sea, indulging any whims on board with abundant activities and spa services available at the Greenhouse Spa & Salon.

Mon, Jan 20: Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos is a jewel of an isle that measures just seven square miles, and is awesomely rich in natural wonders. Ringed by translucent warm waters teeming with coral and fish, it’s a bonanza for divers and snorkelers. Of course, you can always choose to explore the fascinating history of the island in its capital, Cockburn Town, which is lined with Bermudan-style buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, take off on a sand dune buggy safari, or simply enjoy the day under a beach umbrella.

Tue, Jan 21: Today, stop in historic and lively San Juan, Puerto Rico. One of the first Caribbean islands to be settled in the 1500s, this island became a vital hub of Spain’s New World colonies. Old San Juan, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a historic treasure waiting to be discovered. Opportunities abound for sightseeing from the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista — the final resting place of Ponce de Leon, to well beyond the historic district and into Condado, a vibrant beachfront neighborhood with high-rise resorts and trendy waterfront restaurants and shops. Sample one of Puerto Rico’s best-known products at Casa Bacardi rum distillery. And stunning natural wonders await at El Yunque National Forest and at Fajardo’s bioluminescent bay.

Wed, Jan 22:  Port in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten, the Leeward Island that has been famously bisected into French and Dutch territories since 1648. In both capitals — Marigot and Philipsburg — there are ancient stone forts and candy-colored buildings lining winding streets. Philipsburg, the capital of the Dutch side, has some excellent international art galleries to explore, but further afield are beautiful beaches and an array of nature conservancies where hiking, biking, and zip lining opportunities are aplenty. If you visit the French side, you’ll find cafe au laitpain au chocolat, sidewalk bistros offering chilled rose and savory crepes, a variety of luxury shops, and cosmopolitan boutiques that beckon shoppers looking for a good bargain — and the entire island has no sales tax! Or, take the helm and race an America’s Cup boat in a shortened regatta on an optional excursion.

Thu, Jan 23: Relax with another tranquil day at sea.

Fri, Jan 24: Early morning, arrive at Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line’s private island paradise in the Bahamas, complete with an international bird sanctuary. There are a variety of activities to choose from while on the island, including walking a nature trail, relaxing at a private beachfront cabana, or optional horseback riding on trails and on the beach, and a stingray swimming adventure.

Sat, Jan 25: Disembark in Fort Lauderdale and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
