Drive into Pennsylvania to overnight near Pittsburgh. (Meal: Lunch)

Thu, Apr 2: Enjoy breakfast before heading to Hershey’s Chocolate World in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Partake in a chocolate tasting, peruse the grounds and shops, and learn about the life and times of Milton Hershey. This evening, enjoy dinner and a show at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. In Guys and Dolls, meet gambler, Nathan Detroit as he tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while trying to evade authorities. As he tries to help, his partner, Sky Masterson, he ends up chasing a lovely strait-laced missionary. Guys and Dolls takes you from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong. (B,D)

Fri, Apr 3: Breakfast is included this morning before visiting The Amish Village, an authentic look at today’s Amish lifestyle. Located on 12 scenic acres, The Amish Village lets visitors tour the property, including a farmhouse, one-room schoolhouse, barn with farm animals, blacksmith shop, smokehouse market and more. Then stop at Kitchen Kettle Village and explore the offerings of 40 distinct merchants with everything from handmade quilts to homemade jams and jellies, as well as delicious food options for lunch. On your own, shop, take a buggy ride, take a lesson in pretzel twisting, or watch as some of the local women prepare their made-from-scratch products. Visit the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, one of the top such museums in the world, and discover a fascinating, world-class collection of more than 100 historic locomotives and railroad cars, as well as the art, artifacts, and captivating personal stories of Pennsylvania’s rich railroad heritage. Relax for a few hours back at the hotel before your next show, the amazing production of Queen Esther. Set in the opulent yet perilous Persian Empire, Queen Esther is a captivating tale of beauty and bravery. Sight & Sound Theatre brings to life one of the most captivating stories in the Bible, filled with colorful characters, beautiful sets, and amazing special effects! (B)

Walk through the Federal-style home and hear stories of the life and times of our only bachelor president. Visit the country’s oldest farmers’ market, Lancaster Central Market, located in a beautiful 120-year-old red brick building chock-full of local character. Take time for lunch and exploration in this long-time social gathering place for the Amish and area residents. Then it’s time to wave goodbye to Lancaster to head west, reaching Wheeling, West Virginia to overnight. (B,D)
