Tue, Oct 13: Overnight flight to Zagreb, Croatia.

Wed, Oct 14: Arrive in Zagreb, Croatia. The country’s capital and largest city, Zagreb is the cultural center of the region and boasts many museums, art galleries, orchestras, and folk festivals as well as delightful outdoor cafes and beautiful city parks. Meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner. (Meal: Dinner)

Thu, Oct 15: This morning, explore the highlights of Zagreb on a panoramic city tour. Visit the Upper Old Town and see St. Stephen’s Cathedral, St. Mark’s Church, and colorful Jelacic Square. Continue to Zadar, situated on a long peninsula, and the oldest Slavic town on the Adriatic Sea. A narrated tour takes you to see the Roman Forum archeological site and the unique Sea Organ, which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps. Enjoy time for lunch before travelling along the spectacular coast arriving in Split. Located in the center of the Dalmatian Coast and nestled between the mountains and sea, Split is a picturesque ancient town built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers this evening. (B,D)

Fri, Oct 16: After breakfast, enjoy a Split city tour highlighted by a <visit to the impressive Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 3rd century. Highlights of the Palace include the Peristyle –– the palace’s main open space, Temple of Jupiter, and the Cathedral, which was once the Emperor’s Mausoleum. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Split. (B)

Sat, Oct 17: On the way to Dubrovnik, delight in a breathtaking drive along the spectacular Dalmatian Coast, dotted with palm trees, olive groves, and idyllic fishing villages. Enjoy a Dubrovnik city tour featuring the harbor area, the Franciscan Monastery, and the stately Baroque Cathedral. Visit Old Dubrovnik, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in to your hotel for a two-night stay and enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers. (B,D)

Sun, Oct 18: Dubrovnik is certain to enchant any visitor, and you’ll enjoy the day at leisure to discover the treasures of this historic city. Thick age-old walls surround this ancient port town and the winding cobblestone streets are filled with distinctive medieval buildings and places to explore. There will be an optional excursion offered, or you may plan your own adventure. Your hotel is ideally located adjacent to the Lapad beachfront and popular promenade, home to an array of shops and cafes with outdoor terraces. (B)

Mon, Oct 19: Today, appreciate spectacular sea views as you travel the coastal road along the sheer cliffs that drop into the beautiful Adriatic Sea. Stop in the historic town of Trogir to see some of the medieval buildings, churches, and towers of this captivating city. Then have some time to shop and grab a bite to eat before continuing on a scenic drive through Croatia’s most beautiful countryside. Arrive in Plitvice Lakes National Park for an overnight stay and dinner with your fellow travelers. (B,D)

Tue, Oct 20: Prepare your cameras for an exploration of stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a scenic wonderland of 16 interconnecting lakes. Visit Korana Canyon to see the 230 feet high falls and panoramic views. Also embark on a scenic boat excursion to better view the natural highlight of the park. Return to Zagreb for an overnight stay and a group Farewell Dinner. (B,D)

Wed, Oct 21: Transfer to the airport in Zagreb for to Paris. (An overnight stay is required with the group’s flight itinerary.) Transfer to your centrally located hotel with a local guide who will give you suggestions for your free day in Paris. (B)
