Wed, July 1: Depart for Chicago via motorcoach in the morning. Dine at one of Chicago’s landmarks, The Berghoff, a 120-year-old historic restaurant serving authentic German fare. Next, go on a history-filled majestic journey at The Chicago Theatre on a Marquee Tour. Stand on the stage and view the dressing room walls featuring signatures from famous artists including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Dolly Parton and so many more. Check in to theWit A DoubleTree by Hilton downtown hotel and enjoy some free time for shopping or exploring the Magnificent Mile. This evening, cruise the three-branches of the Chicago River and experience hidden architectural treasures of the city’s most famous landmarks from a different vantage point. An onboard expert will entertain you with the stories of how Chicago’s buildings, architecture, and engineering made the city famous. Before returning to shore, see the grand display of fireworks light up the night sky over Navy Pier from Lake Michigan. (Meal: Lunch)

Thu, July 2: Following breakfast at the hotel, visit the Art Institute of Chicago, the second-largest art museum in the United States. Learn more about Chicago’s architecture, industry, and creative culture on a guided tour with an enthusiastic and engaging educator. With nearly 300,000 works of art and over one million square feet of museum to explore, take some time to discover what fascinates you the most. Return to Indianapolis early evening. (B)
