More water tumbles down from the Niagara River every minute than any other place in the world. The speed at which the river falls creates a misty fog and an unmistakable roar heard from miles away. Known for both power and beauty, Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls; Horseshoe Falls (also known as the Canadian Falls), American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls are the widest and highest of the three, measuring 2,200 feet across with an average drop of 188 feet and a colossal 600,000 gallons of water crashing down per second.
Travel by motorcoach to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and experience the Falls with four adventures: take a boat tour with up-close views of the Great Gorge, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls; voyage behind the Falls; walk along the edge of one of the world’s wildest stretches of whitewater; and experience the newest attraction, Niagara’s Fury. Explore the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, tour Fort George — a military post that defended Upper Canada against American attacks during the War of 1812, and sample icewines in an igloo-like lounge constructed from over 28,000 pounds of ice.
Overnight in Ohio’s Amish Country to see a show, and marvel at handmade crafts, quilts, leather goods, and homemade food. Before returning home, visit the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, a world-class horticulture, art, and nature center near Columbus, Ohio.
