With its arts, incredible bay and lake views, and Swedish heritage, there’s no wonder Door County, Wisconsin is a popular vacation spot. There’s plenty to do on this charming peninsula, whether you choose to shop the many gift and antique stores, visit museums and art galleries, or just spend time taking in the beautiful views. A traditional Door County fish boil with local whitefish, cherry pies made from the fruit of local orchards, handcrafted cheese, and Swedish treats make this destination a delight for all of your senses.
Door County is a long peninsula surrounded by the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan on the eastern shores of Wisconsin. Water was and still is a prime feature as 300 miles of scenic shoreline define the county. From the 1800’s shipyards produced fishing trawlers, Navy vessels, ore carriers, and some of the finest yachts in the world; now recreational boats travel the bustling harbors and quiet coves. Twelve lighthouses dot its shores.
Travel to the Wisconsin shores of Lake Michigan and discover for yourself why this is one of Ambassadair’s favorite destinations.
