Thu, June 23: Depart for Grand Canyon National Park, one of the great seven natural wonders of the world. Stop at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center before entering the park to enjoy a boxed lunch along with the Grand Canyon IMAX Movie that provides an excellent introduction to the park. Continue through the park entrance where a knowledgeable local guide will provide more insight along popular points and scenic stops. Check into your hotel, the Thunderbird Lodge, located inside the park at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. This standard park hotel is not equipped with elevators and guest rooms on the second floor are only accessible by stairs. (B,L)
Fri, June 24: Today is free to experience the Grand Canyon as you like. Use the free shuttle system and spend the day exploring at your own pace. Participate in one of the many ranger programs offered by the park or consider an optional excursion. This evening, dinner is included at the famous El Tovar Dining Room. (B,D)
Sat, June 25: Check out of your hotel and venture south to Sedona with stops to take in the striking landscape of red rock country.
