Following an overnight flight, arrive Leonardo da Vinci/Fiumicino Airport, Rome. Your Italy Tour Guide will be there to greet you. Board, a private transfer in route to Hotel Le Meridien Visconti. Unload luggage and Skirt off on a walking tour of Piaza Popolo, known to be one of the most famous and beautiful squares in Rome. This morning, before departing Modena, we make our final, no-trip-complete-without-it, stop at the Acetaia Malphighi Balsamic Vinegar Factory. An epicurean tutor will chronicle the precise conditions and quality standards that certify the authenticity of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar (Acetaia) of Modena. There is vinegar, and there is real, artisan vinegar. Time will allow to purchase a take-home bottle of this famous, “Black Gold” of Modena; then off to Lerici, a lovely Riviera town and ideal starting point for our Cinque Terre adventure. (B)

This day begins with a breathtaking boat ride. On display, is Cinque Terre, one of the most beautiful places in Europe and named after the colorful, iconic houses of the five fishing villages sitting high on the Italian Riviera.
