Thu, Nov 12: After breakfast, visit the campus of the College of the Ozarks. For over 100 years, hard work, agriculture, and education have been of utmost importance here. From its humble farm beginnings and early canning operations to today’s student-run farms and student-produced smoked hams and other foods, “Hard Work U”®, as the College is otherwise known, continues to serve the Ozarks in many ways. The tour includes visiting Patriots Park, the Williams Memorial Chapel, Edwards Mill, the stained glass and candle shop and the greenhouses. Then, dine at The Keeter Center, where every part of your meal includes work done by students, from the vegetables grown on site and home-made products—this a true farm to table experience unlike any other! Next, transport back in time to Bethlehem at Sight & Sound Theatre’s cherished holiday production—Miracle of Christmas. Journey alongside Joseph and Mary, the shepherds, wisemen, and others as the story of Jesus’ birth unfolds all around you through massive sets and live animals!
