Sat, Dec 14: Today set sail on a fully narrated Saltwater Marsh Shelling & Eco Tour in calm waters with a local naturalist. Get up close and personal (if you wish) with sea life such as crabs, snails, and sea urchins pulled from the bottom of the inlet. Also have an opportunity to walk along an untouched stretch of beach and search for shells for the naturalist to identify before taking them back home with you! After lunch on your own take a short drive to the Hammock Shops Village for another unique holiday shopping experience; home to the Original Pawleys Island Rope Hammock, where you can still view the weavers working their magic. Spend some time browsing everything from fashionable clothing and shoes to handcrafted collectibles and jewelry, coastal-inspired treasures, wine, gifts, candy, specialty art, gourmet kitchen items, and more. Following dinner experience one of the most beloved holiday events in the southeast: Brookgreen Garden’s Night of a Thousand Candles.
