Tue, Nov 11: Fly to Newark, New Jersey, and transfer to Manhattan for an included lunch followed by an Architectural tour walking in Chelsea and on the High Line. Exploring the architecture in New York is like visiting a museum without walls, and on this tour, you’ll learn to see the city through the eyes of an architect. Discover the dynamic intersection of art and architecture in two neighborhoods. Once an industrial hub, Chelsea’s transformed warehouses now host one of the world’s highest concentrations of art galleries, making it a global epicenter of contemporary art. Combine this with the High Line, a stunning elevated park, and you’ll experience a vibrant blend of history, design, and culture. After the tour head to Times Square to check into your home for the next four nights, the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square, in the heart of all the action. The evening is yours to enjoy! Wed, Nov 12: Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel before stepping into Little Italy’s Past and Present complete with food tasting along the way! Discover how it has evolved from its historic roots to its modern-day vibrancy. Stroll through a mix of old-world charm and contemporary flair, showcasing a family-run bakery, butcher, and unique shops that keep traditions alive while also exploring the dynamic presence of stylish boutiques, and artistic flair. Taste your way through an international array of locally loved foods from the Italian classics to fabulous foods that highlight the neighborhood’s current diversity. Learn, see, and taste everything that makes Little Italy’s past and present so special—one bite at a time! Return to the hotel for some time at leisure before meeting the group for the first Broadway show on the roster—Operation Mincemeat—a fast-paced, hilarious musical that brings to life the unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won World War II. Thu, Nov 13: Today, meet an actor from a Broadway musical and hear personal stories of their rise to fame on “The Great White Way.” Afterward, have some free time for lunch before heading to Carnegie Hall where a knowledgeable tour guide will share 130 years of the famous hall’s regal history. Walk through the landmark building, see the famous Stern Auditorium and Perelman Stage from various points of view, continue through the Composers’ Gallery, hear the stories behind many of the signed photographs of performers, and visit the Rose Museum with Carnegie Hall artifacts. Following the tour, dinner is included before seeing the hit musical Mamma Mia! as it returns to Broadway for a limited run. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they had last visited decades ago. ABBA’s greatest hits, including “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Money, Money, Money,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and of course, “Mamma Mia” are all featured in this feel-good celebration of love, family and friendship. Fri, Nov 14: Enjoy a leisurely morning before a tour of Radio City Music Hall. The main event is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year and to celebrate, you’ll get to tour the beautiful theatre, walk through stories of the past and then take an orchestra seat to the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular! Afterward, spend some time exploring Rockefeller Center where you’ll see decorations for the holiday season beginning to emerge. You’ll have time for dinner on your own before heading to Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theatre to see the final show on the roster, Ragtime – The Musical. Enjoy a sweeping melodious adaption of E.L. Doctorow’s novel that follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by a matriarch Mother. All grasping for the same dream, if only they can hold on to it. Following the performance return to the hotel. (B)
